Searching
eAutoRepair
features a robust search capability that takes you right to the
information you are looking for. After selecting the module, just
type a word or phrase in the Search field, and pick from the Categories
and then Titles that mention the word or phrase. By design, there
are slight variances in the Search field depending on whether you
are searching for Repair, Technical
Service Bulletin, or Maintenance/Fluids information.
Review the sections below for details.
Searching
Repair Information (Basic Search):
1. After selecting
the Repair module, just type the search word or phrase in the Search
box and click the Search button. Categories for
the Repair articles that include the word or phrase display in the
choice lists.
Note:
for multi-word searches, only those articles containing all words
entered are displayed.
2. Pick a Category
3. Pick a Title
to open the article.
4. The Search
text appears highlighted in the Article text and selecting the Click
here to locate search results in this article link at the
top of the article takes you directly to the first instance of the
search text.
The basic search
works the same whether you are in the Category screen or the article
itself.
Searching
Repair Information (Filtered Search):
1. Once you
have selected a Category in Repair, you have the option to search
only the articles in that Category, as opposed to searching all
articles for the Vehicle.
Note:
for multi-word searches, only those articles containing all words
entered are displayed.
2. Click the
"Search only..." checkbox to filter the
search to only the selected Category.
3. To clear
the search text, click the "Repair" link (or other Module
link) on the navigation bar.
Searching

the Technical Service Bulletin module, just type the search word
or phrase in the Search box and click the Search button. Categories
for the Technical Service Bulletin articles that include the word
or phrase display in the choice lists.
2. Pick a Category.
3. The Choose
TSB Filters screen displays. You can do a filtered search or just

Service Bulletins for details.)
4. The Search
text appears highlighted in the Article text and selecting the Click
here to locate search results in this article link at the
top of the article takes you directly to the first instance of the
search text.
Note:
If you conduct a search in the Technical Service Bulletin Filters
screen or in a Technical Service Bulletin article screen, the search
is valid for your selection only. In other words, only the displayed
titles or Technical Service Bulletin text will be searched. To enlarge
your search to all Technical Service Bulletins for the vehicle,
select the Technical Service Bulletin Category/SubCategory in the
breadcrumb trail. Your search will persist across all Categories
for the selected vehicle, with only matching Categories displayed.

the search text, click the Technical Service Bulletins link (or
other Module link) on the navigation bar.
