Before you can use Mitchell 1 DIY, you need to specify your vehicle and create an account/login for accessing the repair information for your vehicle. Creating an account with a pre-paid Activation Number is quick and easy. Just go to the Mitchell 1 DIY Home page and click the Subscribe link. Then select your Vehicle from the Year, Make, and Model screens to create your account. Choose Activation Number as your Payment Type, and enter it from your Pre-Paid card on the Select Payment Type screen. Then follow the on-screen instructions to complete your account creation process.

How do I create an account?

Creating an account in Mitchell 1 DIY is quick and easy process. Just go to Mitchell 1 DIY Home page, and click the Subscribe Now link. You will select a vehicle, choose a UserName and Password for your account. You will also need to select a method of payment for your subscription. You can pay by either entering an Activation Number from a pre-paid card or your credit card information or PayPal for billing. You will need to provide your name, address, and e-mail address. I forgot my password. How do I get my password?

In case you forgot your Mitchell 1 DIY password, you can request your password by clicking the Forgot Your Password link (also available in the Login page). Clicking the Forgot Your Password link opens a screen which initiates a process during which you will enter your e-Mail address of your account and confirm it by a second entry. Then send your e-Mail address to Mitchell 1 DIY. You will receive your new login instructions by e-Mail, normally within 15 minutes. Carefully follow the instructions provided in the e-Mail. How do I get a receipt of my purchase?

You can print the receipt confirmation when you have finished purchasing or extending a subscription. You will also receive an e-Mail notification with details of your purchase.

How do I extend my existing subscription duration?

Once you have logged in to your account, you can extend your existing subscription from the Account Management screen. You can extend by paying with either an Activation Number or with your credit Card or PayPal.
